At Simpson & Marwick we are still very much open for business having put in place remote working facilities that allow us to progress both our estate agency and legal conveyancing services as best we can.  However, a number of the team have now been put on the furlough scheme so we are operating with a skeleton staff.  We will endeavour to do our utmost to keep you informed and updated as much as we can under these exceptional circumstances. Please note that with regard to current transactions, The Law Society of Scotland has recently issued some guidance to say that these should not settle at the moment. What is clear is that all transactional work will face both considerable disruption and delay. With many firms temporarily closing, we may be unable to even obtain any updates on transactions. Restrictions have also impacted removal companies and banks, and the closure of the Land Registers of Scotland means registering new titles is impossible at this time.

We are all affected by this pandemic and we would ask you to be as patient and understanding as possible during a time which is difficult and trying for everyone.
